Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQCF). This Emergency First Aid at Work course is fully accredited on the RQF (Regulated Qualifications Framework) at Level 3.
Formerly known as the appointed person’s First Aid course, it is the minimum expected training for an employee to undergo in order to be an organisation’s appointed First Aider.
Our professional and experienced trainers will teach you the full range of Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) skills by combining theory and practical work throughout.
We will teach you how to use an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) in every EFAW (Emergency First Aid at Work) one-day course at our base in Knowsley or at a location of your choice,.
We will also teach you BSL (Basic Life Support), including how to administer rescue breaths and CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation), which is taught at every session and includes Adult CPR and Children’s CPR.
If you work in a high risk workplace where cutting tools and implements are used, we can also teach you what to do in cases of serious or catastrophic bleeding.
This one day Emergency First Aid at Work course has all of the content of the now-defunct HSE First Aid course, but contains all the essential elements needed for low and medium risk environments.
After completing the course, learners can be named as an appointed first-aider within their organisation. Those in higher risk environments should consider our three day First Aid at Work course.
The one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course is a face-to-face, interactive course in a safe, supportive environment where you will have direct contact with a tutor, and where you will be positively encouraged to ask questions!

After completing the course, you will know all the key aspects of First Aid in the workplace and be confident to deal with and manage situations requiring First Aid in the workplace – in addition to ensuring that your organisation can demonstrate regulatory compliance and safe operational practice.

We are happy to run the one-day Emergency First Aid at Work course at your workplace – and by doing so, this course can cost as little as £42 per person. Your trainer will supply all the necessary equipment – all you need to supply is the students and the space.
All courses are based on having a certain number of students. If we do not reach that number we will offer you alternative dates. This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
